Join me in a chat with Ryan Jefferson Booth; a Palestinian-Canadian actor, trainer, and activist about last night’s surreal display of a fascist-style police attempt to crush political dissent on university campuses across America.
We chat about Columbia, where I was last night, and saw a disturbingly large number of police officers in riot gear entering the campus to violate students protesting against the use of their tuition money to support Israel's genocide in Gaza; as well as the pro-Israel mob attack on UCLA student encampment where, unlike New York, police took 2 hours to come in and protect the students.
Protect and serve?
We discuss this new trend of terrorizing the students, faculty, and supporters who don’t align with the US government’s support of the state of Israel, and media downplaying the violent culprits while demonizing the peaceful encampments - there to demand their universities divest from companies funding genocide and occupation.
Thanks for listening!
